The question that I ask myself this morning is, did last nights debate change anything? On the surface, the status quo had seemed to be maintained. Barack Obama as usual, appeared smooth, calm, and well versed on the issues. John McCain for his part, performed better then the last two debates, and possibly had a one sound bite moment. Neither appeared to have a breakout moment. Following this conventional line of thought, advantage goes to Obama, since he is the front runner.
When viewed in the context of the candidates vulnerabilities, as viewed by the public, credibility is Barack's weakness. He's the candidate who casts a shadow on his own record. Did the television audience believe him when he distanced himself from William Ayes, claimed he had little involvement with ACORN, disputed McCain's "contrast" of his policies and record on Tax policies. I'm not sure, but in the end, despite the polls, this election may come down to how many people trust him
